Quilting for over 20 years, I never in a million years thought I would make a career out of it. But here I am launching my business. I started quilting because I has just gotten out of the military after 5 years on the Navy, new mom, and all of the sudden I found myself as a stay at home mom. WoW was I out of my element. I had no clue what I was doing. One day my mother suggested that I start quilting because I was/am a perfectionist. I thought yeah right, that's for old ladies! Well I looked up my nearest quilt shop in Camp Lejeune, NC and I found All About Quilting. I took my first class and was hooked. The next thing I know we are adding onto the house to add a quilt room and never looked back. The love of my life stayed active duty and we have lived all over the world, and that was one thing that I could do no matter where I was in the world. We finally retired in South Carolina and I am very blessed that we were able to fulfill my dream of owning a long arm quilt machine. I can not think of any other way of life other then quilting. I am addicted. I often lose track of time in my quilt studio. I have met many life long friends along the way. So 20 years later, Made in the South Quilting has been established.
